OET (OET-RV) For it is not the power of things by which men swear,
⇔ but it is the just penalty for those who sin
⇔ that always visits the transgression of the unrighteous.
BrLXX Οὐ γὰρ ἡ τῶν ὀμνυομένων δύναμις, ἀλλʼ ἡ τῶν ἁμαρτανόντων δίκη ἐπεξέρχεται ἀεὶ τὴν τῶν ἀδίκων παράβασιν.
(Ou gar haʸ tōn omnuomenōn dunamis, allʼ haʸ tōn hamartanontōn dikaʸ epexerⱪetai aei taʸn tōn adikōn parabasin. )
