OET (OET-RV) David said, “My son Shelomoh (Solomon) is young and tender, and the house to be built for Yahweh must be impressive for the sake of his reputation and for beauty in all the lands so I’ll prepare for it now.” So David prepared a large amount before he died.
Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive
(Occurrence 0) the house that is to be built for Yahweh

If your language does not use the passive form in this way, you can state this in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: “the house that he will build for Yahweh”
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / metonymy
(Occurrence 0) so that it will be famous and glorious in all other lands
(Some words not found in UHB: and=he/it_said Dāvid Shəlomoh/(Solomon) son_of,my young and,inexperienced and,the,house to,built to/for=YHWH to,exceedingly of,magnificence, in,famous and,of,glorious to/from=all/each/any/every the,lands make_preparation therefore to=him/it and,made_~_preparations Dāvid to=increase_in_number to=(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before death_of,his )
Here the word “lands” refers to the people who lived there. Alternate translation: “so that people in every other land will know about it and think that it is glorious”
(Occurrence 0) prepare for its building
(Some words not found in UHB: and=he/it_said Dāvid Shəlomoh/(Solomon) son_of,my young and,inexperienced and,the,house to,built to/for=YHWH to,exceedingly of,magnificence, in,famous and,of,glorious to/from=all/each/any/every the,lands make_preparation therefore to=him/it and,made_~_preparations Dāvid to=increase_in_number to=(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before death_of,his )
Alternate translation: “prepare to build it”
22:5 While Solomon was young and inexperienced (see also 29:1; cp. 1 Kgs 3:7; 2 Chr 13:7), David had the wisdom and skill to make preparations for building the Temple; David also designed the Temple (1 Chr 28:11-12). Later, God provided Solomon with the wisdom he needed to build the Temple and to govern well (see 2 Chr 1:7-12).
OET (OET-LV) and_ Dāvid _he/it_said Shəlomoh/(Solomon) son_of_my is_a_youth and_inexperienced and_the_house to_built to/for_YHWH to_exceedingly of_magnificence in_famous and_of_glorious to/from_all/each/any/every the_lands I_will_prepare please to_him/it and_ Dāvid _made_preparations to_increase_in_number to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before death_of_his.
OET (OET-RV) David said, “My son Shelomoh (Solomon) is young and tender, and the house to be built for Yahweh must be impressive for the sake of his reputation and for beauty in all the lands so I’ll prepare for it now.” So David prepared a large amount before he died.
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
