OET (OET-LV)And_they_said [the]_Fəlishəttiy who did_he_do this_[thing] and_they_said Shimshōn the_son-in-law the_Timnite if/because he_has_taken DOM his/its_wife/woman and_gave_her to_companion_his and_came_up [the]_Fəlishəttiy and_burned DOM_her and_DOM father_her in/on/at/with_fire.

OET (OET-RV)So the Philistines asked, “Who did this?”
¶ “Shimshon,” they replied, “the son-in-law of the man from Timnah, because he took Shimshon’s wife and gave her to his close friend.” As a result, the Philistines went to Timnah and they burnt both the womanher and her father.

TSN Tyndale Study Notes:

15:6-10 The chain of revenge was complicated (cp. 9:7-21). First, Samson took revenge on the community of Philistines, not on his in-laws. Next, the Philistines accepted that Samson was a victim of injustice (see study note on 14:20) and took revenge on Samson’s in-laws, which then led Samson to avenge his in-laws by attacking the Philistines. It all triggered a potential war with Israel. God was beginning to rescue Israel through Samson (13:5; cp. 1 Sam 7:3).

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
