By specifying that Jehosheba was the daughter of King Joram but not saying that she was also the daughter of Athaliah, as Ahaziah was, the author is indicating that Jehosheba and Ahaziah had the same father but not the same mother. Your language may have its own term or expression for this relationship. Alternate translation: [the half-sister of Ahaziah]

The room of the beds was not a bedroom in which someone would sleep. Athaliah would have had her soldiers search every bedroom thoroughly to look for members of the royal family. The phrase describes a storeroom in the palace for bed cushions and blankets, where the soldiers did not think to look. If your readers would not recognize the nature of this room from the phrase the room of the beds, you could use the name of a similar kind of room that your readers would recognize, or you could use a more general term. Alternate translation: [in the palace storeroom for bedding]

The author does not say specifically whom he means by they, but the later events in the story suggest that he means the priests in Yahweh’s temple. You could indicate this explicitly in your translation if that would be helpful to your readers. Alternate translation: [And the priests hid him in the temple]
