Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / abstractnouns
וְזֹ֛את תִּהְיֶ֥ה טֻמְאָת֖וֹ & טֻמְאָת֖וֹ הִֽוא
and,this you(ms)_will_be uncleanness_of,his & uncleanness_of,his who/which
If your language does not use an abstract noun for the idea behind the word uncleanness, you can express the same idea with a verbal form. Alternate translation: [This is what makes him unclean … it makes him unclean]
רָ֣ר בְּשָׂר֞וֹ אֶת־זוֹב֗וֹ
secretes body_of,his DOM discharge_of,his
Alternate translation: [whether the discharge drips from his flesh]
אֽוֹ־הֶחְתִּ֤ים בְּשָׂרוֹ֙ מִזּוֹב֔וֹ
or stopped body_of,his from,discharge_of,his
Alternate translation: [or the discharge is stopped up in the man’s flesh]
15:1-33 The principle of normal and abnormal and the created order again aids the interpretation of these regulations (see “Clean, Unclean, and Holy” Theme Note). Bodily discharges, such as infections (see study note on 13:1-46), were not “normal” because they weakened the vitality of the person, so the person was not seen as whole. Whether male (15:1-18) or female (15:19-33), such a person became unclean.

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
