David is using These in chariots and these in horses as a common expression of his culture to mean “Some trust in chariots and some in horses” or “Some trust in chariots and others in horses.” If this phrase does not have that meaning for your readers, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [Some in chariots and some in horses] or [Some trust in chariots and others trust in horses]
