TSNTyndale Study Notes:

15:30-31 The believers at Antioch received the decision with great joy that conversion to Judaism and keeping all the requirements of the law of Moses was not required of them. The dispute had been resolved, so the work of teaching and preaching in Antioch could continue unimpeded.

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: writing-pronouns

ἐχάρησαν

˱they˲_/were/_elated

The pronoun they refers to the believers in Antioch. It may be helpful to clarify this for your readers. Alternate translation: “the believers in Antioch rejoiced”

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / abstractnouns

ἐπὶ τῇ παρακλήσει

at the exhortation

If your language does not use an abstract noun for the idea of encouragement, you could express the same idea in another way. Alternate translation: “because they were so encouraged”
