OET (OET-LV)And all the ones having_believed were with the same purpose, and they_were_having all common things,

OET (OET-RV)All those who did believe were united in purpose and had shared use of many things.

uW Translation Notes:

ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτὸ

with the same_‹purpose›

See the discussion of this phrase in Part 3 of the Introduction to Acts. Alternate translation: [in the same place] or [united in Christian fellowship]

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / hyperbole

εἶχον ἅπαντα κοινά

˱they˲_/were/_having all common_‹things›

Luke may be saying all as a generalization to emphasize the powerful spirit of generosity among the believers. The next verse explains more specifically how the believers showed this generosity, and you could give some indication of that here. Alternate translation: [shared their belongings with one another]

TSN Tyndale Study Notes:

2:42-47 Luke makes a clear connection between personal faith and membership in the Christian community. Life in this new community involved devotion to the apostolic teaching of God’s Word, fellowship, sharing, joy, and praise, and it resulted in the Lord’s continuing to add to their number those who were being saved.
