uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: grammar-connect-logic-result

ὅθεν

(Some words not found in SR-GNT: Ὅθεν καί σῴζειν εἰς τό παντελές δύναται τούς προσερχομένους διʼ αὐτοῦ τῷ Θεῷ πάντοτε ζῶν εἰς τό ἐντυγχάνειν ὑπέρ αὐτῶν)

The phrase because of which introduces a conclusion based on the fact that Jesus has “the permanent priesthood” ([7:24](../07/24.md)). If it would be helpful in your language, you could use a natural form that introduces a conclusion. Alternate translation: [as a result of which] or [so that]

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / go

τοὺς προσερχομένους & τῷ Θεῷ

(Some words not found in SR-GNT: Ὅθεν καί σῴζειν εἰς τό παντελές δύναται τούς προσερχομένους διʼ αὐτοῦ τῷ Θεῷ πάντοτε ζῶν εἰς τό ἐντυγχάνειν ὑπέρ αὐτῶν)

The word approach refers implicitly to getting close to something but not necessarily being right next to it. The author speaks of people approaching God. This means that they enter into God’s presence. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use a word or phrase that refers to being in someone’s presence. See how you translated the similar clause in [4:16](../04/16.md). Alternate translation: [the ones going before God]

Note 3 topic: grammar-connect-time-simultaneous

πάντοτε ζῶν

always living

The phrase always living could introduce: (1) another reason why he is able to save completely. Alternate translation: [because he always lives] (2) something that happens as part of or during his “saving” of those approaching God through him. Alternate translation: [as one who always lives] or [part of which is how he always lives]

TSN Tyndale Study Notes:

7:25 able, once and forever, to save: Since Jesus lives forever, the salvation he brings also lasts forever. To draw near to an eternal God, we need an eternal priest.
• Jesus will intercede or appeal to God for us as our High Priest of the new covenant, and his intercession is never-ending (see 9:11-28; 10:21-22; Rom 8:31-34).
