Yahweh is speaking as if a tribe were an object that he could actually give to Solomon’s son. He means that he will allow Solomon’s son to continue ruling over one tribe. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [I will allow your son to continue ruling one tribe]

Yahweh assumes that Solomon will understand that by one tribe, he means the united tribe of Judah and Benjamin. See the discussion in the introduction to this chapter of how Judah and Benjamin came to be considered one tribe. You could indicate this explicitly in your translation here and in verses 32 and 36 if that would be helpful to your readers. Alternate translation: [the united tribe of Judah and Benjamin]
