The author is using one thing that this captain did for the king, supporting him with his hand, to mean everything that he did as the king’s personal attendant. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [who was the king’s personal attendant]

The captain is using the question form for emphasis. If a speaker of your language would not use the question form for that purpose, you could translate this as a statement or as an exclamation. Alternate translation: [Even if Yahweh were to make windows in the heavens, this thing could not be!]

The captain is using a common expression of his culture, saying Behold, naming a person, and then using a participle to describe an action, to indicates that a person is about to do that action. The captain may be speaking either conditionally or sarcastically. Alternate translation: [Even if Yahweh is about to make windows in the heavens, this thing could not be!] or [I suppose Yahweh is about to make windows in the heavens. Even so, this thing could not be!]

Elisha is responding to the captain by using the same common expression. Alternate translation: [You are about to see this with your eyes]

It might seem that the expression seeing with your eyes contains extra information that would not be natural to express in your language. If so, you could say this in a way that would be natural. Alternate translation: [You are about to witness this personally]
