OET (OET-RV) When you all harvest your crops off your land, you mustn’t cut the grain right to the very edge of your field, and nor can you all pick up any dropped stalks.

Alternate translation: [And when you gather your crops, do not gather all the way to the edges of your fields]

וְלֶ֥קֶט קְצִֽירְךָ֖ לֹ֥א תְלַקֵּֽט
and,the_remnant_of your_harvest_of,of not gather
This refers to the practice of going back over the fields a second time to gather any produce that remained after the first time. The full meaning of this statement can be made explicit. Alternate translation: [and do not go back and pick up all that you left behind]
19:9-10 do not harvest. . . . Leave them for the poor: Israel’s covenant with God included a social structure that created a leveling effect and resisted social divisions. Families were required to provide for family members who faced difficulties. Widows and orphans (Exod 22:22), the poor, and foreigners (Lev 19:10) were considered members of Israel’s extended family. The poor were not only given special consideration in the offering system (5:7-13), but positive steps were taken to make sure they had food to eat.

OET (OET-RV) When you all harvest your crops off your land, you mustn’t cut the grain right to the very edge of your field, and nor can you all pick up any dropped stalks.
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
