10:18 The logical conclusion when sins have been forgiven—that is, when sins have been taken away completely and permanently (10:1-4, 11)—is that there is no need to offer any more sacrifices. Thus, the superior sacrifice of Christ has made the entire sacrificial system of the old covenant obsolete.

δὲ
and
The word Now introduces an explanation of the words that the author has quoted in [10:16–17](../10/16.md). If it would be helpful in your language, you could use a word or phrase that introduces an explanation, or you could leave Now untranslated. Alternate translation: [As you can see,] or [So,]
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / abstractnouns
ἄφεσις τούτων
forgiveness ˱of˲_these_‹is›
If your language does not use an abstract noun for the idea behind forgiveness, you could express the idea by using a verb such as “forgive” or “release.” Alternate translation: [people are forgiven for these things] or [God releases people from these things]
Note 3 topic: writing-pronouns
τούτων
˱of˲_these_‹is›
The word these refers to the “sins” and “lawless deeds” that the author mentioned in [10:17](../10/17.md). If it would be helpful in your language, you could make explicit that the pronoun refers to “sins” and “lawless deeds.” Alternate translation: [for sins and lawless deeds]
Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / abstractnouns
οὐκέτι προσφορὰ
no_longer_‹there_is› ˓an˒_offering

Note 5 topic: figures-of-speech / idiom
περὶ ἁμαρτίας
for sin
The phrase on behalf of sin means that the sacrifice is intended to deal with sin. It does not mean that the sacrifice allows the sin or encourages the sin. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use an equivalent expression or plain language. Alternate translation: [to deal with sin] or [for the forgiveness sin]
