Note: This view shows ‘verses’ which are not natural language units and hence sometimes only part of a sentence will be visible. Normally the OET discourages the reading of individual ‘verses’, but this view is only designed for doing comparisons of different translations. Click on any Bible version abbreviation down the left-hand side to see the verse in more of its context. The OET segments on this page are still very early looks into the unfinished texts of the Open English Translation of the Bible. Please double-check these texts in advance before using in public.

ClVg et non sinebat ut quisquam transferret vas per templum:[fn]
(and not/no sinebat as quisquam transferret vas through templum: )

Ad this because in temple erant, as or not/no dantes corporaliter persequerentur, or dantes spiritualiter necarent. Templum and home of_God mens it_is and conscientia fidelium, which in læsione proximi perversas cogitationes profert, as_if in spelunca latrones resident, and simpliciter gradientes interficiunt: and so mens yam not/no home of_God, but spelunca it_is latronum.

11:16 from using the Temple as a marketplace: Or from carrying merchandise through the Temple. The Temple was also defiled by its use as a shortcut for carrying things from one part of the city to another. Other rabbis also forbade this practice (see Mishnah Berakhot 9.5; see Josephus, Against Apion 2.8).
Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit
σκεῦος
/an/_object
Here, the word translated container refers to any object that people use for a specific purpose. If it would be helpful in your language, you could make that idea more explicit. Alternate translation: [any object] or [anything]
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / synecdoche
τοῦ ἱεροῦ
the temple
Here Mark is referring to the temple area. He does not mean that people were passing through the most sacred parts of the temple building. If it would be helpful in your language, you could make that idea more explicit. See you translated this word in 11:11. Alternate translation: [the temple courtyard]
