The author is using the term hands to mean axles of the wheels, which he describes in [7:30](../07/30.md). If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly, here and the next verse. Alternate translation: [and the axles of the wheels were in the stand]

When he says that the hands of the wheels were in the stand, the author means that the axles of the wheels were cast as part of the stand itself, rather than as separate pieces that were added afterwards.
