Here and in the next verse, the author is introducing this man named Hiram as a new participant in the story. This is not the same man by that name who was the king of Tyre, whose friendship with Solomon the author describes in chapter 5. If your language has its own way of introducing new participants, you could use it here in your translation. Alternate translation: [And King Solomon sent and took a certain man named Hiram from Tyre]
