This building was known by two names that each used the same term that describes the “porch” of the temple in [6:3](../06/03.md). However, it is clear that this building was not a mere entrance. It was a formal hall in which Solomon judged cases. So if it would be clearer in your language, you could use a name for this building that uses a term other than “porch.” Alternate translation: [the Hall of the Throne … the Hall of Judgment]

It might seem that the expression where he would judge there contains extra information that would not be natural to express in your language. If so, you could shorten it, here and in verse 8. Alternate translation: [where he would judge]

The author is using from the floor to the floor as a common expression of his culture to mean “over the entire floor.” If this phrase does not have that meaning in your language, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [And its entire floor was covered with cedar]
