As in [6:8](../06/08.md), the author is using the term shoulder to mean the side of the house or temple. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [in front of the right side of the temple … in front of the left side of the temple]

See the discussion in a note to [6:8](../06/08.md) of how, in these descriptions of the temple, the author is speaking of directions in the way that is characteristic of his culture. If it would be helpful to your readers, you could indicate the directions he is speaking of, particularly since he uses the terms eastward and south later in the verse. Alternate translation: [in front of the south side of the temple … in front of the north side of the temple]

By from the right shoulder of the house, eastward toward the south, the author means at the southeast corner of the temple. You could indicate this explicitly in your translation if that would be helpful to your readers. Alternate translation: [in front of the southeast corner of the temple]
