Here the psalmist is speaking of Yahweh as if he were physically high above the nations, like someone standing on a mountain looking down. This image emphasizes Yahweh’s supreme authority and power over all earthly kingdoms. If this image communicates well in your language, please use it. If not, you could express this as a comparison or state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [Yahweh is supreme over all nations]
