uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / merism

מִ֭מּוֹצָא וּמִֽמַּעֲרָ֑ב וְ֝לֹ֗א מִמִּדְבַּ֥ר הָרִֽים

(Some words not found in UHB: not lift_up to,height horn_of,your(pl) speak with,a_neck insolent )

The psalmist is referring to all directions on earth by naming two (or three) cardinal points, the east, the west, and the wilderness (the south). The word translated comes lifting up could possibly mean “mountains” which would refer to the north. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use an equivalent expression or plain language. Alternate translation: [from any direction comes lifting up]

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / abstractnouns

הָרִֽים

(Some words not found in UHB: not lift_up to,height horn_of,your(pl) speak with,a_neck insolent )

If your language does not use an abstract noun for the idea of lifting up, you could express the same idea with a verb such as “lift” or “exalt.” Alternate translation: [to lift someone up]
