4:2 Hazor, located north of the Sea of Galilee, dominated the intersection of major trade routes running north–south and east–west. References to Hazor appear frequently in ancient Near Eastern documents, and the site has been extensively excavated. Its position as a one-time “capital of all [those] kingdoms” (Josh 11:10) is confirmed by history and archaeology.
• Harosheth-haggoyim (“Forest/Farmland of the Nations”) was possibly a staging area for the battle; its location and history are debated.

See how you translated the same expression in 2:14. Alternate translation: “So Yahweh made them subjects of”
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit
מֶֽלֶךְ־כְּנַ֔עַן
king Kanaan
Canaan was not a single kingdom; it was an area in which there were many different cities and territories ruled by different kings. The author seems to mean implicitly that Jabin’s rule from Hazor extended over a wide part of the region of Canaan. You could state this information explicitly in your translation if that would be helpful to your readers. Alternate translation: “a king who ruled over much of Canaan”
Note 3 topic: translate-names
בְּחָצ֑וֹר & בַּחֲרֹ֥שֶׁת הַגּוֹיִֽם
in/on/at/with,Hazor & in/on/at/with, הַגּוֹיִם
The words Hazor and Harosheth Haggoyim are the names of cities.
Note 4 topic: translate-transliterate
בַּחֲרֹ֥שֶׁת הַגּוֹיִֽם
in/on/at/with, הַגּוֹיִם
The name Harosheth Haggoyim means “Woodcutting of the Nations.” Since there were forests in this area, many interpreters believe that Jabin kept prisoners there from the nations he had conquered and forced them to work cutting down trees. In your translation you could spell this the way it sounds in your language, as the ULT and UST do, or you could use a word or phrase from your language that expresses the meaning of all or part of this name. Alternate translation: “in Harosheth of the Nations” or “in Timberland of the Nations”
