In this context, the term name could refer to: (1) people calling on Yahweh by name as their God and thus worshiping him. What Solomon says in [8:41–43](../08/41.md) in his prayer of dedication for the temple suggests that this could be the meaning. Alternate translation: [for the worship of Yahweh] or (2) the reputation of Yahweh. This would be similar to the meaning of [name] in [1:47](../01/47.md).
