God uses this question to draw Jeremiah’s attention to Israel’s faithlessness. It can be translated as a command or a statement. Alternate translation: “See how faithless Israel is to me.” or “You see how faithless Israel is to me.”

The tops of hills and under shade trees were common places for people to worship idols. The word “every” is used as a generalization to show that the people were worshiping idols in many different places.
Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / simile
(Occurrence 0) she has acted like a prostitute
(Some words not found in UHB: and=he/it_said YHWH to=me in,the_days_of Yʼoshiyyāh/(Josiah) the=king have,you_seen? which/who done faithless Yisrael went_up she/it on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in all/each/any/every hill high and=near/to below/instead_of all/each/any/every tree/message green and,she_has_acted_as_a_prostitute there )
God speaks as of Israel worshiping idols as if she were a woman having sex with many men. Alternate translation:
3:6-10 The Lord had been addressing the kingdom of Judah as “Israel” (2:1–3:5), emphasizing their identity as his people. Now the Lord distinguishes between Israel, the northern kingdom that had been destroyed (2 Kgs 17), and the kingdom of Judah. Since the people of the southern kingdom had learned nothing from the fate of the northern kingdom, they were doomed to experience the same fate.
• Josiah (640–609 BC) promoted a return to historic faith and practice in 621 BC (2 Chr 34:29-33).

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
