uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: writing-endofstory

and_[was],on head of,the_pillars (Some words not found in UHB: and_[was],on head of,the_pillars shaped_of lilies and,it_was_complete work_of of,the_pillars )

In this verse, the author is concluding his account of how Hiram cast massive pillars with ornate capitals for the temple porch. In the first sentence, he repeats what he said in [7:19](../07/19.md) about the lily-shaped decorations on top of the capitals. That repetition signals the impending conclusion of the account, which ends in the next sentence with the author’s statement that once the pillars were set up, the work on them was finished. Use a natural form in your language for concluding an account with a brief summary of what it has described.

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive

וַתִּתֹּ֖ם מְלֶ֥אכֶת הָעַמּוּדִֽים

(Some words not found in UHB: and_[was],on head of,the_pillars shaped_of lilies and,it_was_complete work_of of,the_pillars )

The expression was finished is a passive verbal form. If your language would not use that form, you could express the idea in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: [And Hiram finished the work of the pillars]
