OET (OET-LV) And_ YHWH _he_will_bring_back DOM blood_of_his on his/its_head who he_fell on_two_of men righteous and_good from_him/it and_he_killed_them with_sword and_father_of_my Dāvid not he_knew DOM ʼAⱱnēr the_son_of Nēr the_commander_of the_army_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_DOM ˊAmāsāʼ the_son_of Yeter/(Jether) the_commander_of the_army_of Yəhūdāh/(Judah).
OET (OET-RV) Yahweh will return his blood onto his own head, because he attacked two men more righteous and better than himself: Ner’s son Abner, the commander of Yisrael’s army, and Yeter’s son Amasa, the commander of Yehudah’s army. He killed them with the sword and my father David didn’t have anything to do with it.
Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / idiom
וְהֵשִׁיב֩ יְהוָ֨ה אֶת־דָּמ֜וֹ עַל־רֹאשׁ֗וֹ
(Some words not found in UHB: and,he_will_bring_back YHWH DOM blood_of,his on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in his/its=head which/who attacked on,two_of men righteous and,good from=him/it and,he,killed_them with,sword and,father_of,my Dāvid not knowledge DOM ʼAⱱnēr son_of Nēr chief army_of Yisrael and=DOM ˊAmāsāʼ son_of Yeter/(Jether) chief army_of Yehuda )
Solomon is using return his blood on his head as a common expression of his culture to mean that Yahweh will hold Joab morally and legally responsible and punish him for the blood (that is, the murders) of Abner and Amasa. If this phrase does not have that meaning in your language, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [He has blood on his hands, and Yahweh will hold him accountable for that] or [And Yahweh will punish him for committing murder]
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / possession
אֶת־דָּמ֜וֹ
DOM DOM (Some words not found in UHB: and,he_will_bring_back YHWH DOM blood_of,his on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in his/its=head which/who attacked on,two_of men righteous and,good from=him/it and,he,killed_them with,sword and,father_of,my Dāvid not knowledge DOM ʼAⱱnēr son_of Nēr chief army_of Yisrael and=DOM ˊAmāsāʼ son_of Yeter/(Jether) chief army_of Yehuda )
Solomon is using the possessive form to describe blood that Joab shed when he murdered Abner and Amasa. If a speaker of your language would not use the possessive form for this, you could express this idea in another way. Alternate translation: [the blood that he shed]
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / doublet
צַדִּקִ֨ים וְטֹבִ֤ים מִמֶּ֨נּוּ֙
(Some words not found in UHB: and,he_will_bring_back YHWH DOM blood_of,his on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in his/its=head which/who attacked on,two_of men righteous and,good from=him/it and,he,killed_them with,sword and,father_of,my Dāvid not knowledge DOM ʼAⱱnēr son_of Nēr chief army_of Yisrael and=DOM ˊAmāsāʼ son_of Yeter/(Jether) chief army_of Yehuda )
The terms more righteous and better mean similar things. Solomon is using the two terms together for emphasis. If it would be clearer for your readers, you could express the emphasis with a single phrase. Alternate translation: [much more righteous]
Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / ellipsis
וְאָבִ֥י דָוִ֖ד לֹ֣א יָדָ֑ע
and,father_of,my Dāvid not knowledge
Solomon is leaving out some of the words that in many languages a sentence would need in order to be complete. You can supply these words from the context if that would be clearer in your language. Alternate translation: [and my father David did not know his intentions]

He killed them with the sword and my father David didn’t have anything to do with it.
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
