וּמַדּ֕וּעַ לֹ֣א שָׁמַ֔רְתָּ אֵ֖ת שְׁבֻעַ֣ת יְהוָ֑ה וְאֶת־הַמִּצְוָ֖ה אֲשֶׁר־צִוִּ֥יתִי עָלֶֽיךָ
and,why? not (Some words not found in UHB: and,why? not kept DOM oath_of YHWH and=DOM the,command which/who gave to,you )
Solomon is using the question form to rebuke Shimei for breaking his oath. If a speaker of your language would not use the question form for that purpose, you could translate this as a statement or as an exclamation. Alternate translation: [So you ought to have kept the oath of Yahweh and the command that I commanded upon you!]

אֵ֖ת שְׁבֻעַ֣ת יְהוָ֑ה
DOM (Some words not found in UHB: and,why? not kept DOM oath_of YHWH and=DOM the,command which/who gave to,you )
Solomon is using the possessive form to describe an oath that he made Shimei swear to Yahweh. This is not stated explicitly in [2:37–38](../02/37.md), but the solemn form of Solomon’s pronouncement and Shimei’s agreement, “The word is good,” apparently constituted Solomon making Shimei swear. If a speaker of your language would not use the possessive form for this, you could express this idea in another way. Alternate translation: [the oath that you swore to Yahweh]

וְאֶת־הַמִּצְוָ֖ה אֲשֶׁר־צִוִּ֥יתִי עָלֶֽיךָ
and=DOM (Some words not found in UHB: and,why? not kept DOM oath_of YHWH and=DOM the,command which/who gave to,you )
Solomon is using a construction in which a verb and its object come from the same root. You may be able to use the same construction in your language to express the meaning here. Alternatively, your language may have another way of saying this. Alternate translation: [and the command that I imposed on you] or [and the command that I gave you]
OET (OET-LV) And_why not have_you_kept DOM the_oath_of YHWH and_DOM the_command which I_commanded to_you.
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
Acknowledgements: The Hebrew text, lemmas, and morphology are all thanks to the OSHB and some of the glosses are from Macula Hebrew.
