OET (OET-LV) If he_delights in_us YHWH and_he_will_bring us into the_earth/land (the)_this and_he_will_give_it to/for_us a_land which it is_flowing_of milk and_honey.
OET (OET-RV) If Yahweh is pleased with us, then he’ll take us into it and give it to us—that land flowing with milk and honey.
Note 1 topic: grammar-connect-condition-hypothetical
אִם־חָפֵ֥ץ בָּ֨נוּ֙ יְהוָ֔ה וְהֵבִ֤יא אֹתָ֨נוּ֙ אֶל־הָאָ֣רֶץ הַזֹּ֔את
if pleased in,us YHWH and,he_will_bring ,us to/towards the=earth/land (the),this
The author is describing a possible condition in which he will bring us to this land will take place only if Yahweh delights in us occurs first. Express this possible condition in a way that would be natural in your language. Alternate translation: [Suppose that Yahweh delights in us. In that case, he will bring us to this land]
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / exclusive
בָּ֨נוּ֙ & אֹתָ֨נוּ֙ & לָ֑נוּ
in,us & ,us & to/for=us
By us, Joshua and Caleb mean to include both themselves and their Israelite listeners, so use the inclusive form of that word if your language marks that distinction.
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor
הִ֛וא זָבַ֥ת חָלָ֖ב וּדְבָֽשׁ
who/which flowing_of milk and,honey
Here, Joshua and Caleb are speaking of Canaan as if it were a land that had streams of milk and honey flowing through it. Your language may have a comparable expression that you can use in your translation, or you could state the meaning plainly. See how you translated this clause in [13:27](../13/27.md). Alternate translation: [is rich and fertile] or [is very productive]
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
