If you decided in the previous verse to translate this quotation in such a way that there would not be a quotation within a quotation, you can continue doing that here. Alternate translation: [and their children whom they said will be for plunder. And I will bring those children, and they will know the land that their parents rejected]

The implication is that some people had said the Israelite children would be taken as plunder or slaves by the Canaanites. You could include this information if that would be helpful to your readers.
