Here, the author repeats the phrase a staff for one leader to indicate that each leader gave one staff. If this phrase does not have that meaning for your readers, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [one staff from each of them]

Here the author implies that the staff of Aaron was an additional staff added to the 12 staffs from the other leaders. You could indicate this explicitly in your translation if that would be helpful to your readers. Alternate translation: [And the staff of Aaron was placed among the other 12 staffs]
