Bathsheba is referring to death in a polite way by using the phrase lies down with his fathers. Depending on what is helpful in your language, you could use a polite way of referring to this in your language, or you could state this plainly. Alternate translation: [when you, my lord the king, have passed away]

Bathsheba is using the term fathers to mean “ancestors.” If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. See the discussion of this image in the introduction to 1 Kings. Alternate translation: [his ancestors]

To make her appeal to David more effective, Bathsheba is first naming herself and then naming herself along with another person who is important to David, to show that the consequence she is describing would affect him as well. It might seem that her expression contains extra information that would not be natural to express in your language. If so, you can shorten it. Alternate translation: [that I and my son Solomon will be offenders]
