15 And immediately in _ the_ morning , the chief _ priests having _ established a _ counsel , with the elders and scribes , and all the council , having _ bound the Yaʸsous , they _ carried_ him _ away and they _ gave_ him _ over to _ Pilatos .
2 And the Pilatos asked him :
Are you the king of _ the Youdaiōns ?
And he answering to _ him is _ saying :
You are _ saying it .
3 And the chief _ priests were _ accusing many against _ him .
4 And the Pilatos again asked him saying :
You _ are_ not _ answering nothing ?
Behold , how _ many they _ are_ accusing against _ you .
5 But the Yaʸsous no _ longer answered nothing , so _ as the Pilatos to _ be_ marvelling .
6 And on the _ feast , he _ was_ sending_ away to _ them one prisoner , whom they _ were_ excusing .
7 And was the being _ called Barabbas , having _ been_ bound with the insurrectionists , who had _ done murder in the insurrection .
8 And having _ gone_ up , the crowd began to _ be_ requesting as he _ was_ doing for _ them .
9 But the Pilatos answered to _ them saying :
Are _ you_ all_ wanting I _ may_ send_ The king of _ the Youdaiōns _ away to _ you_ all ?
10 For/Because he _ was_ knowing that the chief _ priests had _ given_ him _ over because _ of envy .
11 But the chief _ priests stirred _ up the crowd , in _ order_ that he _ may_ rather _ send_ away the Barabbas to _ them .
12 And the Pilatos again answering was _ saying to _ them :
Therefore what I _ may_ do which you _ all_ are_ calling the king of _ the Youdaiōns ?
13 And they cried _ out again :
Execute _ on_ a_ stake him .
14 And the Pilatos was _ saying to _ them :
For/Because what evil he _ did ?
But they exceedingly cried _ out :
Execute _ on_ a_ stake him .
15 And the Pilatos wishing to _ do , the much for _ the crowd sent _ The Barabbas _ away to _ them , and having _ flogged him , gave _ The Yaʸsous/(Yə hōshūˊa) _ over in _ order_ that he _ may_ be_ executed_ on_ a_ stake .
16 And the soldiers led _ him _ away within the palace , that is the _ residence_ of_ the_ governor , and they _ are_ calling_ together all the cohort .
17 And they _ are_ dressing_ him _ in purple , and having _ twisted_ together a _ thorny crown they _ are_ putting_ around to _ him , 18 and they _ began to _ be_ greeting him :
Greetings , king of _ the Youdaiōns .
19 And they _ were_ striking the head of _ him with _ a _ staff and they _ were_ spitting on _ him , and kneeling the knees , they _ were_ prostrating before _ him .
20 And when they _ mocked at _ him , they _ stripped_ the purple garment _ off him , and they _ dressed_ him _ in the own clothes of _ him .
And they _ are_ leading_ him _ out in _ order_ that they _ may_ execute_ on_ a_ stake him .
21 And they _ are_ compelling a _ certain_ from _ Kuraʸnaʸ _ man passing _ by , Simōn , coming from the _ country , the father of _ Alexandros and Ɽoufos , in _ order_ that he _ may_ carry the stake of _ him .
22 And they _ are_ bringing him to the Golgotha/(Gulgolet) , place which is being _ translated :
place Of _ the _ skull .
23 And they _ were_ giving wine to _ him having _ been_ mixed_ with_ myrrh , but which he _ not _ took .
24 And having _ executed_ on_ a_ stake him , they _ are_ dividing the clothes of _ him , throwing a _ lot for them , and _ who may _ take_ what _ away .
25 And it _ was the _ third _ hour , and they _ executed_ on_ a_ stake him .
26 And the inscription of _ the charge of _ him having _ been_ inscribed was :
The king of _ the Youdaiōns .
27 And they _ are_ executing_ on_ a_ stake two robbers with him , one on the _ right and one on the _ left of _ him .
28 29 And the passing _ through were _ slandering him , shaking the heads of _ them , and saying :
Aha , you tearing _ down the temple and building it in three days , 30 having _ come_ down from the stake , save yourself .
31 Likewise also the chief _ priests , mocking to one _ another with the scribes were _ saying :
He _ saved others , he _ is_ not _ able to _ save himself .
32 The chosen _ one/messiah , the king of _ Israaʸl/(Yisrāʼēl ) , let _ come_ down now from the stake , in _ order_ that we _ may_ see and we _ may_ believe .
And the having _ been_ executed_ on_ a_ stake_ with with him were _ deriding him .
33 And having _ become the _ sixth _ hour , darkness became over all the land , until the _ ninth _ hour .
34 And the ninth hour , the Yaʸsous/(Yə hōshūˊa) shouted with _ a _ loud _ voice :
Eloi , Eloi , lema sabachthani ?
Which is being _ translated :
- god of _ me , the god of _ me , because/for why you _ abandoned me ?
35 And some of _ the having _ stood_ by , having _ heard were _ saying :
Behold , he _ is_ calling Aʸlias/(ʼĒliyyāh ) .
36 And someone having _ run , and having _ filled a _ sponge with _ wine_ vinegar having _ put_ around around _ a _ reed , was _ giving_ him _ to_ drink saying :
Leave it , we _ may_ see if Aʸlias is _ coming to _ take_ him _ down .
37 And the Yaʸsous having _ sent_ away with _ a _ loud _ cry , expired .
38 And the curtain of _ the temple was _ torn into two , from top to bottom .
39 And the centurion having _ seen which having _ stood_ by from opposite of _ him that he _ expired thus said :
Truly this the man was the _ son of _ god .
40 And were also women observing from afar , among whom both Maria/(Miryām) the from _ Magdala , and Maria the mother of _ Yakōbos/(Yaˊₐqoⱱ) the little and of _ Yōsaʸs/(Yōşēf?
) , and Salōmaʸ , 41 who were _ following after _ him when he _ was in the Galilaia/(Gālīl) and were _ serving unto _ him , and many others which having _ come_ up_ with to _ him to Hierousalaʸm/(Yə rūshālayim) .
42 And having _ already _ become evening , because it _ was the _ preparation day , that is the _ pre-day_ of_ rest day , 43 Yōsaʸf/(Yōşēf) having _ come which from Arimathaia , a _ prominent council _ member , who also himself was waiting _ for the kingdom of _ the _ god , having _ taken_ courage , came _ in to the Pilatos and requested the body of _ the _ Yaʸsous/(Yə hōshūˊa) .
44 And the Pilatos wondered if he _ has_ already _ died , and having _ called_ to the centurion , he _ asked him whether he _ already _ died_ off .
45 And having _ known from the centurion , he _ granted the corpse the to _ Yōsaʸf .
46 And having _ bought a _ linen_ cloth , having _ taken_ him _ down , he _ wrapped_ in in _ the linen _ cloth , and laid him in a _ tomb which was having _ been_ hewn out _ of a _ rock , and rolled a _ stone to the door of _ the tomb .
47 And the Maria the from _ Magdala and Maria the mother of _ Yōsaʸs were _ observing where he _ has_ been_ laid .
