OET (OET-LV)for_so/thus/hence thus my_master he_says YHWH slain_of_your_all’s which you_all_have_put in/on/at/with_midst_of_it they the_meat and_she the_pot and_DOM_you_all he_will_bring_out of_midst_of_it.

OET (OET-RV)Therefore the master Yahweh says: The people you’ve killed, whose bodies you have laid in the middle of Yerushalem, are the meat, and this city is the pot. But you’re all going to be brought out from the centre of this city.

uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor

(Occurrence 0) The people you have killed … are the meat, and this city is the pot

(Some words not found in UHB: for=so/thus/hence thus he/it_had_said my=master GOD slain_of,your_all's which/who put in/on/at/with,midst_of,it they(emph) the,meat and=she the,pot and,DOM,you_all bring_~_out of,midst_of,it )

Yahweh speaks of the people whom they have killed as if they were good cuts of meat and of the city as if it were a pot in which the meat was stored or cooked. See how you translated this metaphor in [Ezekiel 11:3](../11/03.md). Alternate translation: “The people you have killed … are like the meat in the pot, and this city is like the pot.”

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive

(Occurrence 0) But you are going to be brought out

(Some words not found in UHB: for=so/thus/hence thus he/it_had_said my=master GOD slain_of,your_all's which/who put in/on/at/with,midst_of,it they(emph) the,meat and=she the,pot and,DOM,you_all bring_~_out of,midst_of,it )

If your language does not use the passive form in this way, you can state this in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: “But I am going to bring you out”

TSN Tyndale Study Notes:

11:1-11 Having given Ezekiel a glimpse of the divine perspective on Jerusalem, the Spirit brought him back to overhear the words of the city’s inhabitants. The wicked counselors asserted that though the assault by the Babylonians (the fire) was troublesome (hot), the defenses of the city (the iron pot) were sufficient to protect them (the meat). These counselors were telling people to build houses—on stolen land (see 11:15, 17)—in which they could live safely. God, however, was determined to judge the wicked.
