(Occurrence 0) As the Lord Yahweh lives
(Some words not found in UHB: for=so/thus/hence hear word_of YHWH all/each/any/every Yehuda [who,are]_dwelling in=land Miʦrayim/(Egypt) here,I swear by,my_own_of,name (the),great he/it_had_said YHWH if will_belong again/more name_of,my invoked by,the_mouth_of all/each/any/every (a)_man Yehuda saying he/it_lived my=master GOD in=all earth/land Miʦrayim/(Egypt) )
“as surely as the Lord Yahweh is alive.” The people use this expression to show that what they say next is certainly true. This is a way of making a solemn promise. See how you transited “As Yahweh lives” [Jeremiah 4:2](../04/02.md). Alternate translation: “I solemnly swear” or “I solemnly swear by the Lord Yahweh”
44:20-30 This group of Judeans in Egypt had severed themselves from all meaningful relationship with the one true God of Israel; they were condemned to death.

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
