¶ “Well, by your own testimony, you deserve your punishment,” King Ahav responded.
Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / idiom
עֹשֵׂ֥ה הֵ֛נָּה וָהֵ֖נָּה
(Some words not found in UHB: and=he/it_was servant_of,your busy_of they(f) and,those and=he he_[was],not and=he/it_said to=him/it king Yisrael yes/correct/thus/so sentence_of,your you(ms) decided )
The prophet is saying that he was doing here and there as a common expression of his culture to mean that he was “busy with various tasks” or “occupied with other matters.” If this phrase does not have that meaning in your language, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [was doing this and that] or [became preoccupied with other tasks]
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit
כֵּ֥ן מִשְׁפָּטֶ֖ךָ
(Some words not found in UHB: and=he/it_was servant_of,your busy_of they(f) and,those and=he he_[was],not and=he/it_said to=him/it king Yisrael yes/correct/thus/so sentence_of,your you(ms) decided )
By Thus is your judgment, the king means that the prophet has pronounced his own judgment by acknowledging that he did exactly what the soldier said would deserve punishment. You could indicate this explicitly in your translation if that would be helpful to your readers. Alternate translation: [I judge you guilty based on your own testimony]
Note 3 topic: writing-pronouns
אַתָּ֥ה חָרָֽצְתָּ
(Some words not found in UHB: and=he/it_was servant_of,your busy_of they(f) and,those and=he he_[was],not and=he/it_said to=him/it king Yisrael yes/correct/thus/so sentence_of,your you(ms) decided )
Ahab is stating the pronoun you separately, even though the verb translated as you have decided already includes this meaning. He is doing that to emphasize the personal role of this prophet in presenting the facts of the case in a way that shows he is guilty. If a speaker of your language would use an explicit pronoun for the same purpose, you may want to use that construction in your translation. If not, your language may have other ways of showing the meaning here. See how you translated the similar expression “you, you swore” in [1:17](../01/17.md). Alternate translation: [you are the one who has decided]

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
