OET (OET-LV) And_he/it_said to_Gēyḩₐzī gird_up loins_of_your and_take staff_of_my in_hand_of_your and_go if/because you_will_meet anyone not you_must_bless_him and_because/when he_will_bless_you anyone not you_must_answer_him and_you_will_put staff_of_my on the_face_of the_lad.
OET (OET-RV) Then he told Gehazi, “Tuck in your robe and take my staff in your hand, and go quickly. If you meet anyone, just keep going and don’t stop to bless them, and if someone blesses you, don’t stop to answer them. When you get there, lay my staff on the young man’s face.”

By telling Gehazi that he should Gird his loins (that is, tuck his robe into his belt so that he can run), Elisha means that he should hurry. Alternate translation: [Quickly, take my staff in your hand, and go!]

Elisha does not mean that Gehazi would be looking for someone and find him somewhere. He means that Gehazi might meet someone on his way to Shunem. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [If you meet a man]
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / gendernotations
אִישׁ֙ & אִ֖ישׁ
(a)_man & (a)_man
In both instances, the masculine term man has a generic sense that includes both men and women. If it would be helpful to your readers, you could use language in your translation that is clearly inclusive of both men and women. Alternate translation: [anyone … anyone]
Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit
לֹ֣א תְבָרְכֶ֔נּוּ וְכִֽי־יְבָרֶכְךָ֥ אִ֖ישׁ לֹ֣א תַעֲנֶנּ֑וּ
not you,must_bless_him and=because/when he,will_bless_you (a)_man not you,must_answer_him
Elisha assumes that Gehazi will understand that he is not to stop to greet people or exchange greetings, because doing so would delay his urgent mission to the Shunammite woman’s son. You could indicate this explicitly in your translation if that would be helpful to your readers. Alternate translation: [you shall not stop to greet him, and if a man greets you, you shall not stop to exchange greetings with him]

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
Acknowledgements: The Hebrew text, lemmas, and morphology are all thanks to the OSHB and some of the glosses are from Macula Hebrew.
