⇔ ≈ and he heard my cry for help.
Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / metonymy
וַיִּשְׁמַ֤ע & קוֹלִ֔י
(Some words not found in UHB: in,distress to=me called YHWH and=near/to God_of,my called and=he/it_listened from,temple_of,his my=sound/voice and,my_cry_of,for_help [was]_in,ears_of,his )
Here, voice represents what David used his voice to say in his prayer. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use an equivalent expression or plain language. Alternate translation: [And he heard my prayer]
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit
וַיִּשְׁמַ֤ע & קוֹלִ֔י
(Some words not found in UHB: in,distress to=me called YHWH and=near/to God_of,my called and=he/it_listened from,temple_of,his my=sound/voice and,my_cry_of,for_help [was]_in,ears_of,his )
See how you translated the similar expression with “listen” in [12:18](../12/18.md). Alternate translation: [And he granted my request]
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit
מֵהֵֽיכָלוֹ֙
from,temple_of,his
By his temple, David means God’s temple in heaven. You could indicate this explicitly in your translation if that would be helpful to your readers. Alternate translation: [from his heavenly temple]
Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / metonymy
וְשַׁוְעָתִ֖י בְּאָזְנָֽיו
(Some words not found in UHB: in,distress to=me called YHWH and=near/to God_of,my called and=he/it_listened from,temple_of,his my=sound/voice and,my_cry_of,for_help [was]_in,ears_of,his )
David is using the term ears to mean hearing. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [and my cry was in his hearing] or [and he heard my cry]

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
