This could mean: (1) that God makes the way on which a person travels perfect, that is, free from obstacles. Alternate translation: [and he removes all the obstacles in my path] or [and he enables me to live the life he has chosen for me without hindrance]; (2) that David is speaking of how a person lives as if that were a way or path that the person was walking along. Alternate translation: [and he enables me to live in just the way that he wants people to live]
