ClVgCœpit autem ædificare mense secundo, anno quarto regni sui.[fn]
   (Cœpit however to_build a_month secondly, in_the_year quarto of_the_kingdom self. )

3.2 Mense secundo, etc. Id est Maio, mox scilicet post pascha, ut consecratus mystica solemnitate populus digne aggrederetur mysticum opus. Anno quarto regni sui. Quæ in libris Regum exposuimus, in Paralipomenon sub brevitate perstringimus.

3.2 Mense secondly, etc. That it_is Maio, mox namely after pascha, as consecratus mystica solemnitate the_people digne aggrederetur mysticum opus. In_the_year quarto of_the_kingdom self. After expletam dispensationem divinæ incarnationis, which in/into/on four of_the_Gospelss written it_is, misso By_Spirit from/about cœlo Assembly/Church fabricata it_is. Which in/into/on bookss Kings exposuimus, in/into/on Paralipomenon under brevitate perstringimus. Longitudo home longam Assemblies/Churches patience/endurancem means. Latitudo charity which also he_loves enemies, until when/with of_the_sun friendss in/into/on to_God gaudeat. Altitudo indeed/however hope futuræ of_life and retributionis, because everything adverse contemnit: until seeat good(s) Master in/into/on earth/land of_the_living. Note that triginta cubiti altitudinis, who in/into/on Kings leguntur, not/no to roof templi, but until to cœnaculum inferius perthey_came. Here/This because that altitudo hundred twenty cubits was. Alii triginta to medium cœnaculum, others indeed/however to tertium, deinde until to supremum templi roof numerabuntur, others triginta and so the_whole altitudo home in/into/on hundred twenty cubitis consummatur: where number of_men primitiva Assembly/Church in/into/on Yerusalem grace Spirit sancti he_received. Whydecim namque who from seven and eight constant, the_futurem life signant, which now actsur in/into/on quiete animarum and perficietur in/into/on resurrectione corporum: fifteen indeed/however in/into/on trigonum drawn, id it_is, when/with to_all to_the_partybus to_his_own numerata hundred twenty are_made, to_whom designatur the_future beatitudo electorum. Bene however this number tertium cœnaculum home consummatur, which after beforesentes with_hard_works, after animarum rest/repose, full felicitatis glory in/into/on resurrectione completur.

TSNTyndale Study Notes:

3:2 The book of Kings dates the beginning of the Temple construction in relation to the exodus from Egypt (1 Kgs 6:1). Chronicles consistently omits references to the Exodus, perhaps to emphasize the continuous and abiding bond between the people, the land, and God.
