OET (OET-LV)And_there_be a_cry great in_all the_land of_Miʦrayim which such_as_him not it_has_occurred and_such_as_him not it_will_repeat.

OET (OET-RV)Then there’ll be loud wailing right across Egypt which will be nothing anything that’s ever happened before, and nothing like it will ever happen again.

uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / merism

אֲשֶׁ֤ר כָּמֹ֨הוּ֙ לֹ֣א נִהְיָ֔תָה וְכָמֹ֖הוּ לֹ֥א תֹסִֽף

which/who such_as,him not there_~_been and,such_as,him not again

This phrase uses the extremes of past and future to emphasize the concept of “never.” If it would be helpful in your language, you could use an equivalent expression or plain language. Alternate translation: “such as has never been and never will be”

TSN Tyndale Study Notes:

11:1-9 The final plague was the death of the firstborn sons. The Egyptians worshiped life. They gave so much attention to preparations for life after death because they wanted to ensure that it would be at least as good as their lives in Egypt. Death itself is in God’s hand. There is no underworld god who can ultimately defeat the God of life. Both life and death belong to the Lord.
