OET (OET-RV) so as to use them to test Israel to see whether the Israelis will obey my instructions like their ancestors did, or not.
Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / quotations
לְמַ֛עַן נַסּ֥וֹת בָּ֖ם אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל הֲשֹׁמְרִ֣ים הֵם֩ אֶת־דֶּ֨רֶךְ יְהוָ֜ה לָלֶ֣כֶת בָּ֗ם כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר שָׁמְר֥וּ אֲבוֹתָ֖ם אִם־לֹֽא
in_order_to test in/on/at/with,them DOM Yisrael whether,keep they DOM road/way_of YHWH to=go in/on/at/with,it just=as did fathers,their if not
It may be more natural in your language to have a direct quotation here, that is, to translate this as if Yahweh were asking himself a direct question. Alternate translation: “for the testing of Israel by them. Will they be keeping the way of Yahweh, to walk in them as that their fathers kept them, or not?”
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor
הֲשֹׁמְרִ֣ים הֵם֩ אֶת־דֶּ֨רֶךְ יְהוָ֜ה לָלֶ֣כֶת בָּ֗ם
whether,keep they DOM road/way_of YHWH to=go in/on/at/with,it
See how you translated the similar expression with way and walk in 2:17. Alternate translation: “are they living in the manner that Yahweh wishes, obeying his commandments”
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / 123person
אֶת־דֶּ֨רֶךְ יְהוָ֜ה
DOM DOM road/way_of YHWH
Yahweh is speaking about himself in the third person. If it would be helpful in your language, you could translate this in the first person. Alternate translation: “my way”
Note 4 topic: writing-pronouns
לָלֶ֣כֶת בָּ֗ם
to=go in/on/at/with,it
Since the pronoun them is plural, it is not a reference back to the way of Yahweh. It is probably a reference instead to the commandments of Yahweh, which were mentioned in the corresponding phrase in 2:17. It may be helpful to clarify this for your readers. Alternate translation: “to walk in his commandments” or “to obey his commandments”
2:20-23 The remaining Canaanites and their religion would become a source of temptation to the Israelites, offering an alternative to faithfully following the Lord and his covenant ways. This result was known and even planned by God (cp. 3:4), but God does not deliberately set his people up to sin (Jas 1:12-15). Temptations abound, but the choice to obey God or yield to temptation rests with those who claim to know him. Israel had a duty to possess the land fully, but God, not humankind, determines victory or failure.

OET (OET-RV) so as to use them to test Israel to see whether the Israelis will obey my instructions like their ancestors did, or not.
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
