Here David uses imperative forms, but he is making polite requests rather than giving commands. If the imperative form does not communicate a polite request in your language, then use a form that communicates polite requests. It may be helpful to add an expression such as “please” to make this clear. Alternate translation: [Please teach me your way, Yahweh, and please lead me on a level path]

Here David is speaking as if Yahweh would lead him on a level path. He is picturing his life as if it were a journey and asking Yahweh to guide him along a smooth, safe route. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly as in the UST.
