David is speaking of Yahweh as if he were a lost object which could be sought and found. He means that the people should pray to Yahweh and desire to be in his presence. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use an equivalent expression from your culture or state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [I asked Yahweh for help]
