(Some words not found in UHB: and=he/it_made Dāvid yes/correct/thus/so just=as he,had_commanded_him YHWH and,he_defeated DOM Pelishtim from,Geba until come,you Gezer )

The Septuagint (an ancient Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible) and the parallel passage in [1 Chronicles 14:16](../../1ch/14/16.md) read “Gibeon” instead of Geba. That may have been the original reading, particularly since the location of Gibeon suits the account of this battle better than the location of Geba. At one point in the process of transmission, scribes may have left out the additional letters that would have spelled “Gibeon” rather than “Geba,” either accidentally or as a way of abbreviating. If a translation of the Bible exists in your region, you may wish to use the reading that it uses. If a translation of the Bible does not exist in your region, you may wish to use the reading of the ULT.
