Click on any Bible version abbreviation down the left-hand side to see the verse in more of its context. The OET segments on this page are still very early looks into the unfinished texts of the Open English Translation of the Bible. Please double-check these texts in advance before using in public.

(And when/with listensset from/about Yesu, he_sent to him seniores Yudæorum, rogans him as would_come and to_savet a_servant his. )
7.3 He_sent to him seniores, etc. Divina providence seniores Yudæorum mittuntur, and to_them beforesentibus languidus sanatur, as inexcusabiles let_them_be when/but_if to_believe noluerint. Centurio friends mittit, not beforesentia his_own verecundiam Master gravare he_would_seeur, and officium officio provocasse. Significat however, because we/us who from/about nations credimus to the_Master, not/no themselves I_camere I_canus which in/into/on flesh/meat seere not/no I_canus, but to residentem in/into/on right_hand Patris. Gentilis the_people as_if centurio stipatur milite virtues and in_spiritalium perfectione, which in/into/on hundred meansur. Sublimis, nothing terrenum from Master to_himself to_his_ownque requirens, but alone æternæ health gaudia: and hi for slavess, id it_is, for his who still in_spirit slavestutis in/into/on with_fear premuntur, Master supplicant, as to_them paulatim to superiora provectis, perfecta belovedo outside mittat with_fearm I Yoan. 4.. Matthæus he_says centurionem accessisse, that through faith intelligendum it_is. Per faith because vere to God acceditur, which in/into/on centurione from Master recommendsur: Not/No I_found such_a_great_dealm faith in/into/on Israel. Further Lucas ordine where gestum it_is exsequitur, as intelligere cogeremur, how him accessisse he_says Matthæus.

7:3 Jewish elders were leaders in the Jewish community. With his tendency to abbreviate accounts, Matthew has the centurion approaching Jesus (Matt 8:5-13). Luke tells the full story in which Jewish elders, and later the centurion’s friends, act as intermediaries.
asking him so_that ˓having˒_come ˱he˲_˓may˒_cure
In this context, the word save has a specific meaning. Alternate translation: [asking him to come and heal]
