BrTr And it came to pass in the days of the war of Machmas, that there was not a sword or spear found in the hand of all the people, that were with Saul and Jonathan; but with Saul and Jonathan his son was there found.

ULT So it was on the day of battle that a sword or spear was not found in the hand of any of the people who were with Saul and with Jonathan, but one was found for Saul and for his son Jonathan.

UST As a result, none of the 600 men who were with Saul and Jonathan had swords or spears that they could use to fight the Philistines. Only Saul and Jonathan, his son, had swords and spears.
