OET (OET-RV) While they were talking, King Ahav said to his servants, “Do you know that Ramot-Gilead should be ours, but we haven’t reclaimed it from Aram’s king?”

Do you know that Ramoth Gilead is ours, but that we are doing nothing to take it from the hand of the king of Aram?

Ahab asks this question to emphasize that they should have already recaptured Ramoth Gilead. Alternate translation: “Ramoth Gilead is ours, but we have done nothing yet to take it from the hand of the king of Aram.”
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / metonymy
to take it from the hand of the king of Aram

Here the word “hand” refers to power. Alternate translation: “to take it from the control of the king of Aram”
22:2-4 Jehoshaphat and Ahab were in-laws by the marriage of Ahab’s daughter Athaliah to Jehoshaphat’s son Jehoram (2 Kgs 8:25-26). However cordial Jehoshaphat may have intended his visit to be, he quickly became involved in Ahab’s plan to occupy Ramoth-gilead. The Assyrian menace prevented Ahab from taking control of this key area that dominated the eastern end of the Plain of Jezreel. Now it needed to be taken by force, and Jehoshaphat placed his troops and horses at Ahab’s disposal.

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
