OET (OET-RV) The king spoke up, “Don’t harm the baby. Give the living child to the first woman—she’s his mother.”

(Some words not found in UHB: and,he_answered the=king and=he/it_said give to/for=her/it DOM the_[one],born (the),living and,certainly_(kill) not you(pl),must_kill_him she/it his/its=mother )
See how you translated the similar expression in [1:28](../01/28.md).
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / infostructure
תְּנוּ־לָהּ֙ אֶת־הַיָּל֣וּד הַחַ֔י וְהָמֵ֖ת לֹ֣א תְמִיתֻ֑הוּ

If it would be more natural in your language, you may want to put the information about not killing the baby before the information about giving the baby to the woman. See what you decided to do with the order of this information in the previous verse. Alternate translation: [Killing, you shall not kill the living child, but give him to her]
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / yousingular
תְּנוּ
(Some words not found in UHB: and,he_answered the=king and=he/it_said give to/for=her/it DOM the_[one],born (the),living and,certainly_(kill) not you(pl),must_kill_him she/it his/its=mother )
The implied “you” in the imperative Give is plural because Solomon is addressing his servants as a group. So use the plural form in your translation if your language marks that distinction.
Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit
לָהּ֙
to/for=her/it
The implication is that King Solomon ordered the baby to be given to the woman who wanted the baby to live rather than be killed. You could include this information if that would be helpful to your readers. Alternate translation: [to the woman who pleaded for his life]
OET (OET-LV) And_he_answered the_king and_he/it_said give to/for_her/it DOM the_one_born (the)_living and_certainly_(kill) not you(pl)_must_kill_him she his/its_mother.
OET (OET-RV) The king spoke up, “Don’t harm the baby. Give the living child to the first woman—she’s his mother.”
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
Acknowledgements: The Hebrew text, lemmas, and morphology are all thanks to the OSHB and some of the glosses are from Macula Hebrew.
