(Some words not found in UHB: and=he/it_said the=king divide DOM the,child (the),living into,two and,give DOM (the),half to,one and,DOM (the),half to,one )
The implied “you” in the imperatives Divide and give is plural because Solomon is addressing his servants as a group. So use plural forms in your translation if your language marks that distinction.

The king is using the adjective two as a noun to mean pieces into which the baby would be divided. Your language may use adjectives in the same way. If not, you can translate this adjective with an equivalent phrase. Alternate translation: [into two pieces]

DOM (the),half
A half means one part out of two equal parts. Alternate translation: [one of the two pieces]
Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / nominaladj

King Solomon is using the adjectives one and other as nouns to mean certain people. Your language may use adjectives in the same way. If not, you can translate this adjective with an equivalent phrase. Alternate translation: [to one of these women … to the other woman]

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
