The author is using the term from to mean that Solomon’s residence was a separate building within the palace complex from the Porch of the Throne and the two buildings that adjoined it. The author means that the work that Solomon’s builders did to construct his residence was like the work they did to construct the Porch of the Throne (and its adjoining buildings). This seems to refer to the materials they used, their method of construction, and the architectural style and details. It does not seem to be a description of the size of Solomon’s residence.
