The term translated as completed here is different from the term translated as “finished” in [9:1](../09/01.md). The author is not restating that Solomon had finished building the temple, even though he is concluding this account of Solomon’s building projects, and he often concludes an account with a review statement. Instead, he means that by offering these sacrifices on the occasions of Israel’s three great annual feasts, Solomon made the Jerusalem temple the center of Israel’s worship. The Israelites no longer worshiped at the high places, as the author notes in [3:2](../03/02.md) that they had been doing previously. If your language has different words for “finished” and “completed” that would convey these different senses, it would be appropriate to use them in your translation.
